Even If We Break by Marieke Nijkamp is a young adult mystery thriller set at an isolated cabin on a mountain. It is about five friends who play a roleplay game together, and who are getting together for the last time only for things to go horribly wrong. Even If We Break is set to publish on September 15th, 2020. I rated it 4 stars on Goodreads.
I can’t believe it’s September already. 2020 has been such a roller coaster ride and I don’t really want to get into that all, but it seems like it’s gone by in a blink. I don’t know what the rest of the year has in store for us, but I do know that September has an insane amount of really good books coming out. Let’s just jump into it.
July’s OwlCrate had a Date with Destiny theme! It was a cool premise and it featured a lot of really neat items. I’m excited to be able to share them with you slightly more on time than I usually do!
The June OwlCrate was a pretty cool box. It had an “All The World’s a Stage” theme, which I loved and was super excited about. I love that quote from Shakespeare, and it was really nice to see what items were included. My apologies for the delay on posting this!

It is a young adult fantasy novel set in a seafaring world, and tells the story of a teenage girl named Fable who is just trying to survive and get by. Fable is set to be published on September 1st, 2020. I gave it 4 stars on Goodreads.
Hello friends! Inspiration has struck Kari and I again, so we are back once more with another edition of The Loyal Book-A-Thon! This time we took inspiration from everyone’s favourite time of year: back to school! (I will admit to a little bit of sarcasm there, especially in light of the current times but I digress!) August is kind of a catch up reading month for me, because I brought home a whole bunch of books from my classroom and school library and only dipped into a couple during July. It meant that I have a whole bunch still left to read for August, so I never made a TBR post at the start of the month. However, I’ve since decided to participate in the ScallywagAThon, which is hosted by HardbackHoarder, Paper Faerie, and Read All the Books.

Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis is a stand-alone novel. It’s classified as a young adult horror novel and deals with some rather sensitive topics, so readers beware. It’s about a girl named Lola who is learning more about her family history in a rather spooky small town. Harrow Lake, according to NetGalley, is set to be published on August 25th, 2020. I gave it five stars on Goodreads.
May’s OwlCrate was a box that I was eagerly anticipating. I definitely understand why it takes so long for the box to be sent out, and I don’t blame them for that, but I do wish it was still coming mid month. However, that didn’t change my enjoyment of the box. I’m overall quite happy with all the items that came in the box.
