It’s been awhile since I properly reviewed a book, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been reading! I actually heard about this one from my friend Danielle on bookstagram, so when I saw it was on NetGalley, I smashed that request button!

It is a dual-point-of-view novel about two young people who are sent by their parents/guardians to a wilderness therapy program for troubled teens and things go horribly wrong. Indiginerds by Alina Pete is a collection short stories by Indigenous writers and artists about Indigenous peoples engaging in various aspects of popular culture. It is done in a graphic novel style. The book was published on August 27th, 2024. I rated it 4 stars on Goodreads.
August felt like it went so quickly. I read a ton and had some lovely times with friends and family, and then all of a sudden the month was over. It was a really good month, but it’s end also marks the return to school time so that’s a little too bad. However, you can find out all about what I read and hauled below the cut.

July was a great month for me. I have been greatly enjoying my summer vacation, so it’s been nice to take time to reconnect with me and friends and just not be stressed all the time. I also went on a mini honeymoon with my husband to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. I received some amazing books, and read so many wonderful books as well.
