April’s #bestiemademe read is Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller! I listened to this one as an audiobook, just to switch it up from the usual style I’ve done for reading the previous #bestiemademe books. Daughter of the Pirate King is a YA fantasy novel about, you guessed it, the daughter of the pirate king, Alosa. I rated it four stars on Goodreads.

Book Review | Find Me by André Aciman
Call Me By Your Name was one of my favorite reads last year. After I read the book, we had to go out and get the movie to watch as well. It’s definitely not a story for everyone, but for me it was a beautiful love story that left me wanting more. When I heard Find Me was going to be published, I knew that I needed to read it as soon as possible.
Tag Tuesday | Five Finger Tag
I love how people draw inspiration for these bookish tags from the most everyday of things. Personally there are some things I would change on this tag, but it’s not mine so I’m rolling with the punches here. Check out my answers below the cut.
Book Review | #bestiemademe – We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
I read We Were Liars at the beginning of this year. I forgot exactly when Ashley recommended it to me, but it was long enough for me to have had it on my TBR, finally buy a copy, and then have it sit there for a little while longer.
Due of the nature of this book, it’s going to be a short and vague review. I do apologize in advance.
Misc Monday | April Anticipated Reads
I kind of debated not making this post this month because when I looked up April releases, there weren’t too many books that I was super interested in. However, I think I’ve pretty much made this a monthly segment on this blog so I think I will keep doing it.
Book Review | Ruthless Gods by Emily A. Duncan
**Disclaimer: I received a free advanced reader’s copy of Ruthless Gods by Emily A. Duncan through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this opportunity.
Ruthless Gods by Emily A. Duncan is the second book in the Something Dark and Holy series. It is the sequel to Wicked Saints, and picks up not long after the first book leaves off. Ruthless Gods releases on April 7th. I rated it four stars on GoodReads.
The Loyal Book-a-Thon | 24 Hour Readathon Announcement
Hi, friends! We promised you a 24 hour readathon, so here we are back with that announcement!
Ashley’s April TBR | OWLs Readathon 2020 + The Loyal Book-a-Thon: Quarantine Edition
It’s that time of year again; time for the OWLs Magical Readathon. I have to admit that I’m pretty dang excited. I could use a distraction from everything that is going on right now. So I’m definitely excited to spend some time devouring some books and escaping from real life. It’s also an extra exciting month because Kari and I are hosting the inaugural Loyal Book-a-Thon: Quarantine Edition. Find out more here.
Ashley’s March Wrap Up
Wasn’t March just the longest month ever? I kept looking at the date on the calendar and being like how are we still in March? However, it’s finally over and hopefully April will bring better things. I read 19 books in March, which I feel pretty good about because I was somewhat slumpy for a good part of it. You’ll find my thoughts below the cut.
