It is about five friends who play a roleplay game together, and who are getting together for the last time only for things to go horribly wrong. Even If We Break is set to publish on September 15th, 2020. I rated it 4 stars on Goodreads.

Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis is a stand-alone novel. It’s classified as a young adult horror novel and deals with some rather sensitive topics, so readers beware. It’s about a girl named Lola who is learning more about her family history in a rather spooky small town. Harrow Lake, according to NetGalley, is set to be published on August 25th, 2020. I gave it five stars on Goodreads.

It is multi point of view and you get the perspectives of a variety of girls on the varsity team at West Essex high school. We Are the Wildcats publishes on March 31st. I rated it 5 stars on Goodreads.

Book Review | #bestiemademe | Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo is the second book I read for the #bestiemademe challenge that Kari and I are doing. Kari loved it, so she’s been bugging me to read it for awhile. I read this in February and finished it in early March, and I was very grateful for the recommendation because I absolutely loved this book and rated it 5 stars.

How is it the end of the year already? I can’t believe we’re about to start a brand new decade. This past month I read 18 books, which is pretty exciting because I officially beat my record of books read this year by reading 235! I also participated in the winter session of the Magical Readathon, which was definitely fun. I have a few books at the beginning of January to finish it up. So, I have loved to write for a long time. I haven’t always been the most consistent with it, and sometimes I am super terrible about following through with things that I started. I used to be better and worse at the follow through.

As I was thinking about posts for the blog, I was thinking about Writing Wednesdays that I wanted to do, and I found myself struck by nostalgia. I wanted to look at some of my old writing and I found a story I had written when I was in my final year of high school. After re-reading, I thought it might be fun to share it with you all.
