An Unkindness of Ravens by Dan Panosian is a YA fantasy graphic novel about a teenage girl who returns to the town her father was from, and mysteriously looks very similar to a girl who just disappeared. It’s been just about six months since my birthday, so I thought it would be a good time to do a quick update on how many books from my 29 Reads for My 29th Year post. If I have read it, I’ll give it a quick review.
I didn’t do a TBR in May because I had disappointed myself the previous month by not achieving all of the TBR challenge prompts I was supposed to do. I didn’t do that in May either. I technically read books that applied to all the prompts but I didn’t read all of the books I had planned for the prompts. However, I still kind of wanted to do this post because I like talking about the books that I’m going to read. So I will do so below the cut. However, I want to emphasize that I don’t plan on reading all of these, but I know I will get to a fair few of them.
May has been a pretty good reading month. I read a bunch of different things and loved almost all of them. There were definitely a few things that I didn’t really love, but I’m still glad that I read them. I also picked up some good books that I’m definitely excited about reading. It’s about a unicorn named Kurv and his friends trying to deal with an outside threat that might be spreading a disease across the land that turns people into zombie like creatures. It was published on April 21st, 2021. I rated it 3 stars on Goodreads.
This month was a pretty great reading month in turns of the quality of the books I read. It’s not my highest number this year, but I read a lot of really awesome five star books and it’s going to be pretty impossible to choose which is my monthly favourite!
