This is such a weird time for book releases. Things keep getting pushed back because of the current circumstances. I totally understand that but it’s definitely hard to figure out what is coming out that I want to read.

The Summer I Drowned by Taylor Hale is a young adult mystery thriller. It is about a teenage girl named Olivia who is attempting to deal with her post-traumatic stress disorder from when she nearly drowned as a young teen. Five years later she has returned to the place where it all happens. I gave The Summer I Drowned three stars on GoodReads. The Summer I Drowned releases on July 7th.
Ashley’s June Haul
I didn’t actually buy any books in June and I’m pretty proud of myself for that. However, I did order some books in May from Indigo and they came in this month. I also got my May OwlCrate box in and it was super exciting because it had a book AND a graphic novel.

May was another weird month, but I think that all of the months will be weird until this whole pandemic ends. I ended up succumbing to my book buying urges this month and picked up an order from Book Outlet because they had some crazy sales going on. I also picked up a couple of other books. You Are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen is an adult mystery/thriller set in New York City. The events in the book center around the protagonist, Shay Miller, who is a data analyst unsatisfied with her lot in life and who gets caught up in a mystery. I gave this book 4 stars on Goodreads. It publishes on March 3rd, 2020.
