Five Total Strangers by Natalie D. Richards is a young adult thriller novel set on Christmas Eve. A high school senior is just trying to get home to her mother for Christmas, and ends up getting into a car with four strangers and then getting caught in a snow storm. It is set to be published on October 6th, 2020. I rated it three stars on GoodReads, but it’s probably about a 3.5.

September has been a crazy month! It was back to school and since it’s not exactly a normal year, it’s been a bit hectic all around. However, I still managed to read 15 books, which is not too shabby at all. Also I got all but one of the prompts completed for the September back to school edition of The Loyal Book-a-Thon. It is about five friends who play a roleplay game together, and who are getting together for the last time only for things to go horribly wrong. Even If We Break is set to publish on September 15th, 2020. I rated it 4 stars on Goodreads.

Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis is a stand-alone novel. It’s classified as a young adult horror novel and deals with some rather sensitive topics, so readers beware. It’s about a girl named Lola who is learning more about her family history in a rather spooky small town. Harrow Lake, according to NetGalley, is set to be published on August 25th, 2020. I gave it five stars on Goodreads.

It is about a teenage girl named Olivia who is attempting to deal with her post-traumatic stress disorder from when she nearly drowned as a young teen. Five years later she has returned to the place where it all happens. I gave The Summer I Drowned three stars on GoodReads. The Summer I Drowned releases on July 7th.

I didn’t actually buy any books in June and I’m pretty proud of myself for that. However, I did order some books in May from Indigo and they came in this month. I also got my May OwlCrate box in and it was super exciting because it had a book AND a graphic novel.
