May was another weird month, but I think that all of the months will be weird until this whole pandemic ends. I ended up succumbing to my book buying urges this month and picked up an order from Book Outlet because they had some crazy sales going on. I also picked up a couple of other books. May is a month where I get a little bit restless because I start anticipating summer break a little bit. However, it’s still a good month for reading and there are some particularly exciting books coming out this month.

Ashley’s April Haul
What a weird month this has been! I’ve been doing a ton of reading, but not a lot of book buying, which is probably for the best. However, I did still end up with some books this month so we’re going to do a quick and dirty haul for you today.

You Are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen is an adult mystery/thriller set in New York City. The events in the book center around the protagonist, Shay Miller, who is a data analyst unsatisfied with her lot in life and who gets caught up in a mystery. I gave this book 4 stars on Goodreads. It publishes on March 3rd, 2020.

It’s a Leap Year this year! It’s so weird to have this one little bonus day, and I’m kind of excited because it’s one more day of reading for me. I have a nice variety of books I’m planning on picking up this month. You’ll find them below the cut.

Can you believe it’s 2020 already? I can’t, but here we are and that means that there is a whole year of brand new books coming our way. It’s problematic because that means my TBR will never end, but it’s also so exciting because there are so many new books to look out for and to try and get my hands on.
Misc Monday | Anticipated December Releases
December is one of my favourite months of the year. It means my birthday and Christmas. This year, it will also mark the one year anniversary of my relationship with my boyfriend. There will be turkey dinners and presents, and hopefully lot more time for reading. I’m looking forward to it.
