Everyone needs something that’s going to help them to get by and get through the day. Lately, I have been finding that I’ve been extra exhausted and dragging my feet, so it felt like a really good reason to reflect on some things that make me really happy. It never hurts to remind yourself of why things are actually really great in your life. So without further ado, on today’s inaugural Top 5 Thursday, here are my Top 5 Reasons to be Happy (in no particular order)!
Ashley’s 2019 Bookish Resolutions
Finish Harry Potter Re-Read
Last year, in 2018, I made plans to re-read Harry Potter. I read the first four, so I partially succeeded in this, but I still have three to go. I want to finish this up, but the waiting list for the Harry Potter audiobooks from the library is so long! I am still really wanting to get through them though.
Kari’s February TBR
I had a bit of a high reaching goal in January and last month really sucked reading wise, so for February I’m taking my time and putting books down that have a high probability of being finished.
Ashley’s February TBR
I’m trying to keep my TBRs pretty simple this year. I want to read a Shakespearean play, a book from my TBR jar, and one or two that I want to read. This month I have compiled a TBR of a few of these. So, without further ado, let’s jump into it!
Ashley’s 2018 Reading Wrap Up
This year was a crazy year for me with reading! I grew my bookstagram to over 1600 followers, I started a book blog with Kari, and I read a whopping 231 books! It’s been an excellent year and I’m so thankful for all I’ve achieved.
I was trying to think of some way to wrap up my reading year, and trying to wrack my brain for ideas. I saw a friend who did a one sentence review for every book she read this year, but I didn’t want to do that because I didn’t think anyone would want to read it! 231 is a lot of reviews! I decided, instead, that I would just go through my 2018 Reading Resolutions and let you know how I did on each one of them!
Introduce Yourself: Kari
Hello there! My name is Kari and I’m the second person behind this bookish blog you have accidentally (or not so accidentally) stumbled upon. I’m going to try to make this as concise to the point as possible to help save you and me so we can collectively get on to the fun subject: books!
Introduce Yourself: Ashley
Hi! Okay, if I’m going to be honest, I am terrible at talking about myself and I kind of have a love hate relationship with it. It’s always an easier situation when I have someone who is asking me questions because then it’s easier for me to follow from point a to point b. However, I’m going to give this my best shot and I hope in the end you’ll learn a thing or two about me.
