November felt like an accomplishment, but it always does when I survive report card season. It was a pretty good month on the whole, but it was definitely one where I was counting down the days a bit. Let’s get into what I read and hauled this month down below.
Books I Hauled in November:
- Bloodguard by Cecy Robson

- Catch and Keep by Erin Hahn

- Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
- Puck and Prejudice by Lia Riley
Books I read in November:
1. Savage Bonds by J. Bree
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: eBook
Review: This is an interesting continuation of the series. The characters developed well, and I felt that it was interesting to see how Oleander’s relationships with her Bonded grew and changed. I enjoyed the conflict that grew as well. I’m looking forward to continuing.
2. The Reappearence of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Physical Copy
Review: This wasn’t my favourite of Holly Jackson’s book, but I still really enjoyed it. The characters were interesting, and well-written. I felt that it was intricately plotted. It really kept me guessing all the way through the book. I liked the resolution. Bel was a very interesting protagonist.
3. Batter Royale by Leisl Adams
Rating: 4 Stars

Review: This was a really cute graphic novel. I really liked the premise and how the story was written. The characters were sympathetic. I found the art style really well done, and really suited the story. The romance was also cute. I liked that it included recipes.
4. Toph Beifong’s Metalbending Academy by Faith Erin Hicks
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: eBook
Review: This was a fun little standalone. I liked seeing more of Toph. Once again, it makes me wish she didn’t grow up to be a police officer.
5. Immortal Longings by Chloe Gong
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Audiobook
Review: This was a fun story and a unique read. The characters were interesting. really liked the premise of the body swapping. In my opinion, the romance seemed sudden but maybe I missed some clues.
6. The Lost Book of the White by Cassandra Clare
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Audiobook
Review: This was a great read. I love Magnus and Alec so it was great to see them again and see the development of their family. I also liked the continuation of their adventures. It was a well-written and engaging story.
7. Lord of the Flies (Graphic Novel) by William Golding
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Physical Copy
Review: This was a really well-written adaptation of a beloved classic book. The story was great and the art really brought it to life. It was very cool to have visuals of the story and be able to picture it and the things that happened. I really enjoyed the way it was all put together.
8. The Duke and I by Julia Quinn
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Audiobook
Review: This was a good read. I liked the characters and I loved the interactions of the Bridgerton family. It was nice to see them all together. There was definitely some parts I didn’t love, but on the whole it was a decent read.
9. Bull Moon Rising by Ruby Dixon
Rating: 3 Stars
Format: Physical Copy
Review: This was an interesting book. I liked the characters, but I didn’t love the pyramid scheme propaganda. The romance was decent but the sex sounded extraordinarily painful. I don’t think I’ll be reading any more by this author.
10. Killer House Party by Lily Anderson
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: eBook
Review: This was such a great YA horror novel, and I had so much fun reading it. I liked Arden as a character, and I really liked how the different rumours about the story of the house were layered in to the story. The resolution was great, and I loved the overall message of the story. It kept me wanting to read.
11. Kristina: The Girl King by Carolyn Meyer
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Physical Copy
Review: This was very interesting to me. I knew nothing about Kristina, so I was interested to learn more about her and about Sweden. I loved these books as a kid, so it’s fun to read the ones I didn’t get to read when I was younger as an adult. The information at the back is great.
12. Phantasma by Kaylie Smith
Rating: 5 Stars
Format: eBook
Review: This was an excellent book and I very much enjoyed reading it. Ophelia was a really interesting character, and I found the representation of OCD very valuable. The overall premise of the novel was intriguing. I felt it was well-written and well-executed. I highly recommend this book.
13. One Perfect Couple by Ruth Ware
Rating: 5 Stars
Format: Physical Copy
Review: This was a great book for me. I liked the reality TV aspect, and how the story escalated from there. I really liked the main character; she was so well-written. The tension built up so well, and just really cemented why I love Ruth Ware’s books so much. She’s such a great writer.
14. Blood Bonds by J. Bree
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: eBook
Review: This series is such junk food for me. It’s very well-plotted and designed to keep you on the edge of your seat. I liked the inclusion of additional points of view to give us a break from Oleander’s internal monologue. I am having a great time reading this book series.
15. The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Audiobook
Review: I liked this continuation of the series. Anthony and Kate were both really interesting characters and I had fun reading their love story. I really liked how they got together, and the way that they both dealt with their personal traumas. They are great.
16. The Fury by Alex Michaelides
Rating: 5 Stars
Format: Physical Copy
Review: This was such a compelling read. The premise was beautifully done and very well-written in my opinion. I really liked the way the details were revealed and the way the story slowly unfolded. I find unreliable narrators really interesting, and Elliot was the best I’ve read in a while.
17. All In by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Physical Copy
Review: This was a really good read. I really like the way that the author constructs these books. I also like the way it set up the next book in the series. The characters were great. I very much enjoyed learning about them.
18. Three Thieves, Volume 1 by Scott Chantler
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: eBook
Review: **I received an eARC of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers. This was a fun little graphic novel. I liked the characters and the general premise. The story gave me some D&D vibes in the general hijinx of the story, and the backstory of the characters. The art was great. I really liked the design of the characters and the art.
19. Teen Titans: Starfire by Kami Garcia
Rating: 5 Stars
Format: Physical Copy
Review: This was so good. The worst part is now I have to wait for the next one. I absolutely loved the new characters that were included. I loved the character design and the way they began to explore Starfire’s powers. I am excited to see where it all goes next.
20. Bad Blood by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Physical Copy
Review: This was such a good series finale. I liked that things came mostly full circle with the story, and that it picked up on some threads left untied from the prior books in the series. The stakes were super high, and I had a hard time putting the book down. I just had to know what was going to happen next.
21. Twelve by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Physical Copy
Review: I liked this novella. It was cool to see where the kids ended up. I liked the snippets from their past as they allowed us to see just how they had come. I am really glad that I read this series.
22. Lights Out by Navessa Allen
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Audiobook
Review: This felt to me what Haunting Adeline should have been. The characters were great, and it all felt very tongue in cheek. I loved the audiobook and how it was done in duet. I kept giggling as I listened because of the hijinx. The story was fun but also handled some dark topics. They were handled well.
23. Cruel Seduction by Katee Robert
Rating: 4 Stars
Format: Audiobook
Review: I liked this one. It was fun to see from both sides of the conflict that has been building throughout the books. The characters were interesting. I enjoyed the greater dynamic of the group. They were good together. I am also enjoying the increasing tension in the world and look forward to the next.

25. Merry Ever After by Tessa Bailey

Review: I liked this. It was a super quick read, but it had a great couple. Their dynamic was really excellent. I really enjoyed the little epilogue at the end of the story. It was sweet.
