Hi everyone! Today I’m excited to participate in the bookstagram & creative blog
tour for Emberhawk by Jamie Foley hosted by MTMC Tours! Emberhawk is the first
book in a YA Fantasy series where elemental creatures have decided they are gods,
and humans are nothing but fuel for their fire. Out now from Fayette Press!
Tag Tuesday | Books and Elements Tag
Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of my favourite shows. I know it’s technically a show for children but I really appreciated the way it dealt with serious issues. That’s why I really like the idea behind this tag. You can see my answers to the element themed questions below the cut.
Misc Monday | Fae Crate Thorns and All Hangover Recovery Crate Unboxing
I was so excited when I found out about this box. A Court of Thorns and Roses is a really cool series and I enjoyed the world building and the characters. Lately a lot of my friends are reading this and it’s giving me a lot of need to reread it. I especially need to reread it after getting this box.
Misc Monday | March Anticipated Reads
I’m really excited for March. My boyfriend and I are planning on going to Harry Potter World over my spring break and I’m so excited. However, March is also an exciting month for books too! All three books I’m looking forward to come out on March 3rd!
Ashley’s February Wrap Up
February was a weird reading month for me. I had several things on my TBR that I really wanted to get to, but I didn’t get to most of it. Without officially saying it, I kind of threw my TBR out the window. I finished some things I started in January, but anything physical that I started in February that wasn’t a graphic novel was pretty much a no go. I was definitely feeling slumpy, despite the fact that I read 19 things. Most of what I read were audiobooks and graphic novels. That’s not a bad thing, but it’s not really a great thing either. I need to work on my physical TBR some more, but that’s probably a next month kind of thing. However, without further ado, you’ll find everything I read below the cut.
Ashley’s February Haul
February has been an interesting month, but somewhat light on book purchasing for me. Other than my OwlCrate, I didn’t technically buy any books this month. My order from Amazon that came in was full of pre-orders and things purchased previously. I did buy some books for my classroom library through this cool event hosted by my school district, but I didn’t specifically pay for those. So like I said, an interesting month. Everything I got is listed below the cut.
Misc Monday | January OwlCrate Unboxing
This past month’s OwlCrate was pretty great. I had heard nothing about the book, but the collection of items in the box was really great!
Blog Tour | Review – The Insurrection by Chris Babu
Today I’ve proudly teamed up with TLC Book Tours to highlight a great read! This is the third and final installation for The Initiation Series, entitled The Insurrection. Author Chris Babu gives a YA dystopian world that’s a fast paced read and very, very exciting!
Book Review | Foul is Fair by Hannah Capin
**Disclaimer: I received a free advanced reader’s copy of Foul is Fair by Hannah Capin through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to them and the publishers for this opportunity.
Foul is Fair by Hannah Capin is a Macbeth retelling as a YA contemporary novel. All the characters from the iconic Shakespearean tragedy have been translated into well off high school students in sunny California. I gave this book 5 stars on Goodreads.
Misc Monday | February Anticipated Releases
Did you know February has 29 days this year? That’s pretty cool. I figured that out when I was creating this list.
