two friends and too many books

The Thrashers by Julie Soto is a young adult mystery novel. It revolved around a character named Jodi, and her best friends as they enter their senior year of high school. Unfortunately, it won’t be the year that they dreamed of. The book is set to be published on May 6th, 2025. I rated it 5 stars on Goodreads.
February is always an interesting month. It was a very strange month natural event wise. We had a bunch of snow here, which led to snow days and not fun teaching circumstances. We also had an actual earthquake. There was also a power outage one day. On the whole, it was a hectic month. But on the plus side, it was a fun month. I did a reading retreat with friends, and read a new all time favourite book.
I love a fresh start to a reading year. It’s fun to look at the potential and see what books it might bring. Outside of all that potential, January was pretty stressful and busy as I was wrapping up a semester. However, I did successfully make it through.
December was such a lovely month. It was my birthday and Christmas. My husband also got me a book advent calendar. It was such a great time. I was so spoiled, and I read some really excellent books.
November felt like an accomplishment, but it always does when I survive report card season. It was a pretty good month on the whole, but it was definitely one where I was counting down the days a bit. Let’s get into what I read and hauled this month down below.

It is a dual-point-of-view novel about two young people who are sent by their parents/guardians to a wilderness therapy program for troubled teens and things go horribly wrong. It is set to be published on December 10th, 2024. I rated it 4 stars on Goodreads.
The school year has really been one heck of an adjustment for me. I’ve been reading loads but not doing all that much when it comes to this blog, and I’m sorry about that. I figured it would be worth it to do some catching up. It was on the whole, a pretty great reading month though, and the school start-up wasn’t too bad either. Let’s jump into it below the cut.

Suitor Armor, Volume 1 by Purpah is a fanstasy graphic novel with some romance elements. I think it would be appropriate for an upper YA and adult audience. The book is set to be published on November 12th, 2024. I rated it 4 stars on Goodreads.
