July was such an excellent month. I love being on summer vacation and getting to just hang out at home and have fun with my husband and friends. It was so, so wonderful to be able to just read a whole bunch. I did also go a little crazy on books hauled, but I have already read some of them, so I like to pretend that that makes it okay. Below the cut you will find everything I read and hauled in July!
Book Review | The Hemlock Queen by Hannah Whitten
***Disclaimer: I received a free early access copy of The Hemlock Queen by Hannah Whitten from Orbit Books for review purposes. Thank you so much for opportunity.
I got to this book a little later than I wanted. Even though I read it last year, my slump rendered me getting to this copy after the publication date. I am still so very thankful to Orbit for the copy and I made sure to run out and buy a finished version for my collection!
Please note that this review may have spoilers! If you want to check out a spoiler free review of the first book go to, The Foxglove King.
Book Review | Silver Elite by Dani Francis
***Disclaimer: I received a free early access copy of Silver Elite by Dani Francis from Random House Worlds / Del Rey via NetGalley for review purposes. Thank you so much for opportunity.
It’s been awhile since I properly reviewed a book, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been reading! I actually heard about this one from my friend Danielle on bookstagram, so when I saw it was on NetGalley, I smashed that request button!
Book Review | Suitor Armor, Volume 1 by Purpah
**Disclaimer: I received a free eARC of this graphic novel through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this opportunity.
Suitor Armor, Volume 1 by Purpah is a fanstasy graphic novel with some romance elements. I think it would be appropriate for an upper YA and adult audience. The book is set to be published on November 12th, 2024. I rated it 4 stars on Goodreads.
Ashley’s May 2024 Book Haul and Reading Wrap Up
May has been a busy month. It’s usually report card time and that makes me busier than usual. However, when I’m stressed I tend to read more than I usually might, so It’s been a pretty decent reading month too. Let’s cut to the chase and jump into what I’ve read this month below the cut.
Ashley’s March 2024 Book Haul and Reading Wrap Up
March was an excellent reading month for me. I had two weeks off for Spring Break, so I really made the best possible use of my time and read so much while I was off work. It was a wonderful time and I read so, so many excellent books. It’s partly why I’m so behind on Wrap Ups. I found it pretty daunting to want to type up all the reviews for the books I read. However, it’s finally time so you’ll find my reading wrap up and March haul below the cut.
Ashley’s September 2023 Book Haul and Reading Wrap Up
Where the heck did September go? All of a sudden it’s October and I have no idea where any of the time went. It was a hectic month with back to school and back to school illnesses. However, it was ultimately a pretty good month, and I read a fair few books and got some good books to add to my collection. You’ll find everything I read and hauled below the cut.
Ashley’s August 2023 Book Haul and Review
August was such a strange but lovely month. I took time to enjoy being a newlywed, and then I started getting ready to go back to work, despite there being a heck of a lot procrastination involved in that as well. I’m very good at procrastinating. I did, however, end up doing a fair bit of reading, and some particularly good reading. It was an excellent month all told.
Ashley’s July 2023 Book Haul and Reading Wrap Up
July was a really busy month for me because we were wedding planning and recovering from the school year so I didn’t spend as much time reading as I wanted to. However, I did conclude the month by getting married so that automatically makes this the best month ever. Ultimately, I read 12 books, which beats my monthly goal of 10 books read.
Book Review | The Foxglove King by Hannah Whitten
***Disclaimer: I received a free early access copy of The Foxglove King by Hannah Whitten from Orbit Books for review purposes. Thank you so much for opportunity.
I had seen the hype for this book all over bookstagram and when I emailed Orbit, they got back to me saying that if they had any review copies left they’d send me one. I was so lucky that one came in the mail but not a few days later! It was one of my most exciting book mail moments. So thank you once again so much to Orbit Books for making this reviewer so happy with this great story.
