One of my all time favourite shows from this past year is The Haunting of Hill House, the Netflix original series based on the novel by the same name by Shirley Jackson.
Tag Tuesday | Days of the Weeks in Books
Reading is one of those equal opportunity hobbies. You don’t need to schedule it; you can just fit it in whenever you want, and whenever you have time. Personally, I like to read in every free second I can find.
Misc Monday | Borderlands 3

Hello and welcome to the first Miscellaneous Monday hosted by me, Kari!
How many of you readers are also gamers? *raises hand*
One game I’m super duper excited for that’s going to be released later this year is Borderlands 3! This game is rated M, so in case you’d like to skip this post, everything else (including the trailer) is after the cut. There’s also some story spoilers as well.
Book Review | What Happened That Night by Deanna Cameron
**Disclaimer: I received a free copy of What Happened That Night by Deanna Cameron from NetGalley for review purposes. Thank you to NetGalley, Wattpad Books and Smith Publicity for this opportunity.
What Happened That Night by Deanna Cameron is a YA Mystery/Thriller. It is going to be published on September 17th, 2019. I gave this book 4 stars.
Tag Tuesday | Beverage Book Tag
Today, I have the Beverage Book Tag for you! It’s very important to stay hydrated, so grab yourself a glass of water and settle in for today’s post!
Tag Tuesday | The Avengers Book Tag
I have a whole bunch of book tags that I meant to do on Bookstagram, but I never really got around to them, which is too bad. I thought that it might be fun to share them here, and Kari agreed, because it’s always nice to have different kinds of things to post. So we’re going to start a Tag Tuesday series here on the blog!
Misc Monday | It’s Been a Year
June 7th marked the one year anniversary of my first post on this blog. I can’t believe it’s already been a year, who knows where the time went? (Not me, that’s for sure).
Review | Waiting For Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey
***Disclaimer: I received a free early access copy of Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey from NetGalley through Berkley for review purposes. The final copy was gifted to me from the publisher. Thank you so much for opportunity.
For an awesome excerpt of the book, be sure to check the end of the post!
Let’s take a moment to be real: who doesn’t love Tom Hanks? Even if you’re not one for romcoms like You’ve Got Mail, how about movies like Saving Private Ryan, Turner & Hooch, Castaway, or my personal favorite, Toy Story?
Even though his name is mentioned probably 100 times, Tom Hanks is not actually in this book. Basically, Tom Hanks is the metaphor for the perfect partner in a romantic comedy.
Top 5 Thursday | Reasons to Be Happy
Everyone needs something that’s going to help them to get by and get through the day. Lately, I have been finding that I’ve been extra exhausted and dragging my feet, so it felt like a really good reason to reflect on some things that make me really happy. It never hurts to remind yourself of why things are actually really great in your life. So without further ado, on today’s inaugural Top 5 Thursday, here are my Top 5 Reasons to be Happy (in no particular order)!
Tag Tuesday | Wonderstruck
I saw this tag on someone else’s blog, and even though no one has tagged me to do it, I need to. It’s a book tag based off of Taylor Swift songs, and I love Taylor Swift and I love books so this is perfect for me!
