I’m a bit late to the game, but I have a pretty decent TBR for January. I had an excellent reading year in 2020, and while I know that I won’t surpass my reading total, I’m excited for the wide open potential of a new reading year. So I felt like it would be fun to go over my January TBR. **Disclaimer, I have already read a few of these books.
1. These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong
This is sort of conditionally on my TBR, depending on whether it’s the December OwlCrate or not. I’m still waiting for my box to arrive. However, I’m about 99% sure that it is.
2. Critical Role Vox Machina Origins 2 by Matt Mercer
I have joined in this tackle your TBR challenge on bookstagram, and one of the prompts for January was to read a graphic novel. This is the only graphic novel that I have in my house that I haven’t read yet. I’ve already read it and loved it.
3. One By One by Ruth Ware
This fulfills the prompt of blue cover. I’m also obsessed with Ruth Ware so I can’t wait to check this one out.
4. Now Entering Addamsville by Francesca Zappia
This book fulfills the prompt of building on the cover. I’m excited to check this one out and see if it’s good. I really loved Eliza and Her Monsters.
5. Slay by Brittany Morris
This book fulfills the prompt of BIPOC representation. I’ve been meaning to read it for awhile.
6. The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White
This book fulfills the prompt of first in a trilogy. I had such a hard time with this one because it seems like duologies are the new trend, which I am not complaining about. I’ve started this one and it’s really intriguing so far!
7. Lore by Alexandra Bracken
This was my last January eARC and I’ve since finished it. I loved it. You can find my review of it here.
8. Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell
My audiobook hold of this had come in, so it got added to the TBR. I didn’t necessarily intend to pick up the sequel, but now that I have I am glad that I did. It was a good story!
9. The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young
My boyfriend got me this for my birthday, so I was excited to read it. I also had a hold on the audiobook through the library, so I’ll be listening to it.
10. The Secret Commonwealth by Philip Pullman
This is yet another audiobook hold that has come in. I’m pretty excited about it because I can’t wait to read more about Lyra’s world.
That’s everything I’m currently planning on reading in January. What’s on your TBR?
