Misc Monday | Anticipated October Releases

10.05.2020 by Ashley // Leave a Comment

While October doesn’t seem to be light on new releases, it does seem like it’s going to be a little bit easier on my wallet than the September releases were.  There are just less books that I’m interested in this month.  Let’s jump into it!

October 6th, 2020

1. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

I have been eagerly anticipating this book since V.E. Schwab started talking about writing it on her twitter account.  It was so cool to follow her process and I was quick to request it on NetGalley when it came out.  I am so excited to have an eARC of it.  Definitely keep your eyes peeled for my full review.  I think the plot behind it sounds really cool, and I just can’t wait to see what she did with the story.

2. We Were Restless Things by Cole Nagamatsu

I have an eARC of this, so you can expect a full review on the blog.  I think this sounds like a really interesting book and I’m super intrigued by the story as described in the blurb.  I definitely can’t wait to see what happens with it.  Plus, the cover is gorgeous.

3. Five Total Strangers by Natalie D. Richards

I have an eARC of this, so you can expect a full review of this on the blog.  I love the premise of this.  It seems spooky and thrilling, and I love isolated snowy settings, so I can’t wait to read this.

4. Tristan Strong Destroys the World by Kwame Mbalia

I listened to the audiobook of the first book in this series, and I really enjoyed it.  I’m also lucky enough to have an eARC of this, so you can expect a review of this on the blog.  I love that Rick Riordan is using his platform to elevate all these own voices stories, and I’m excited to see how good this story is.

1. Lightbringer by Claire Legrand

Okay, I fully admit to the fact that I haven’t yet read Kingsbane, but I absolutely loved Furyborn and I know that I’m going to need to add this conclusion to the series to my collection.
