March has been such a weird freaking month and the temptation to do major retail therapy has been hard to avoid. However, the local bookstore is closed I’m pretty sure and my mail goes to a post office, so I’m trying to minimize my trips there and just being around people in general. However, I did end up buying some books this month and I also got a pre-order and my OwlCrate. So I have some books to talk about below the cut.
Something very exciting came in the mail this month:
- Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare
I have had this book pre-ordered since late 2018 and I am so excited about it. I loved The Infernal Devices and I really want to revisit those characters and also see their kids. So I have been impatiently/patiently waiting for the book to come out.
I have also been in a mood for thrillers recently, so I picked a couple of thrillers from my local bookstore and grocery store before everything shut down. (Obviously my grocery store isn’t shut down, but I’m not trying to buy nonessentials there at the moment.)
The thrillers I picked up are:
- The Last House Guest by Megan Miranda
- A Stranger in the House by Shari Lapena
- The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda
- The Perfect Girl by Gilly MacMillan
I also got my OwlCrate! The book in this month’s box is:
- The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu
