The ever present problem for me as a bookworm is that I never have enough space for books, but I love books and there are always new and exciting ones coming out. Since joining bookstagram and following a bunch of authors on Twitter, my purchasing habits have gotten a little bit out of hand. Last year there were a couple of months where I went a little crazy and in hindsight, I don’t even want to know how much I spent on books last year.
I read really fast, and if you’ve read my previous posts then you’ll know that I read over 200 books last year. However, I barely cracked a dent in my TBR and I feel just a little bit bad about that. So I’ve been trying to restrain myself and keep myself from buying every shiny new cover, but it’s really hard. I try not to go on Book Outlet, and I don’t go into bookstores. However, I will confess to really loving the feeling of walking through a book store and taking books off the shelf and holding them in my arms. There’s something that just feels so soothing about it.
I recognize that this is a total first world problem. It’s a terrible thing to complain about because there are a lot of bigger problems. However, I feel like this is a problem that a lot of bookworms can relate to? How do you keep up with all the new books that just sound good and that you just want to read? Are you the type of person who reads everything on your shelf or gets distracted by new shiny books?
Here’s what I got in February:
The Wicked King by Holly Black
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto
A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff
The Dead Queens Club by Hannah Capin
Neverworld Wake by Marisha Pessl
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff
The Heart Forget by Rin Chupeco
Did you buy any of the same ones in February? Have you read any of these? Which should I read first.
