I can’t believe we’ve come to the end of 2021. It’s been one heck of a year on a personal level and on a world level. December has been kind to me. I turned thirty and I got engaged. I spent quality time with friends and family, and I read some pretty good books. I also got some pretty good books as gifts and pre-orders.

Reckless Girls by Rachel Hawkins is an adult mystery-thriller novel. It’s about a young woman named Lux who goes with her boyfriend and two women who have hired them as guides to a remote island nearby Hawaii. Things quickly intensify there. It is set to be published on January 4th, 2022. I rated it four stars on Goodreads.

Marvel Meow by Nao Fuji is a graphic novel following the misadventures of Chewie, Captain Marvel’s cat, as she encounters various famous Marvel characters. The graphic novel was published on October 12th, 2021. I rated it 4 stars.

I turned thirty on Friday, and so it’s time for another one of my reading challenges to myself. I didn’t do the best on my challenge from the previous year, but I like the challenge and I like trying to check books off of my physical TBR.
