I can’t believe it’s September already. 2020 has been such a roller coaster ride and I don’t really want to get into that all, but it seems like it’s gone by in a blink. I don’t know what the rest of the year has in store for us, but I do know that September has an insane amount of really good books coming out. Let’s just jump into it.
September 1st, 2020
1. Blood & Honey by Shelby Mahurin
I loved, loved, loved Serpent & Dove like everyone else on the internet, and I can’t wait to see what happens next to Lou and Reid. I am a big fan of their pairing and the world that Shelby Mahurin has created in her series.
2. Fable by Adrienne Young
I’ve already read this one, and there should be a full review up for you to check out. I definitely loved it, and I cannot wait for the sequel. It’s a bit of a slowburn read, but you should check it out because Adrienne Young is an amazing writer.
3. The Lost Book of the White by Cassandra Clare and Wesley Chu
I am Shadowhunter-verse trash, and all the books in this world always end up high on my list of books I want to read. I also absolutely love Malec and love that they’re getting a series focused on them and their adventures so that they can be the stars of the show as they justly deserve it.
4. Majesty by Katharine McGee
Katharine McGee is up there on my list of favourite authors. I also loved the first book in this series. I absolutely need to know what’s going to happen next to this group of characters because I love them all so much and the drama is just too juicy to resist.

1. Legendborn by Tracy Deonn
I’m lucky to already have my hands on this one because I won an ARC in a GoodReads giveaway, but I can’t wait to read it. I love that it’s a King Arthur retelling, and I really can’t wait to see how the story unfolds and what Deonn’s take on it is.
2. Even if We Break by Marieke Nijkamp
I have already read this because I had an eARC (keep your eyes peeled for my full review). It was such a fun thriller. It kept me guessing, and I will definitely be recommending this to people and trying to get my hands on it.

1. The Silvered Serpents by Roshani Chokshi
I have already read this because I had an eARC (keep your eyes peeled for my full review coming soon), and I loved it so much! I genuinely can’t wait for the next book in the series, and I can’t wait to have a copy of this book on my shelf. It was such a good continuation of the series.
2. Smash It! by Francina Simone
I got an eARC of this, and I’m super excited about it. There will be a full review of this on the blog at some point soon. I love that it’s an Othello retelling apparently? Or it involves a production of Othello. Either way I think this is has a good premise, and I can’t wait to see what’s going on.
3. Vampires Never Get Old by Various Authors
I love vampires, and the idea of a short story collection all about them sounds really, really great so I definitely plan on getting my hands on a copy of this. The list of authors included is super epic.

1. Dear Justyce by Nic Stone
I loved Dear Martin, so I’m really interested in the idea of a sequel to it. I don’t know a lot about the plot of it, but Nic Stone is a really great writer so I know that I want to check this out at some point.
