It’s the time of the month where I finally upload my March OwlCrate unboxing. I was pretty excited because it was the fifth anniversary box, so I figured it was going to be pretty special. The theme for March was Music of the Night, and overall I really liked it.
Overall, the items in this box were really cool. There were some fandom items and some more typically bookish items. I really liked the mix.
- Phantom of the Opera print by Anne Lambelet
This print was really lovely. I’ve never seen Phantom of the Opera, but I really liked the way this was illustrated and coloured. I think I’ll have to find someone who has seen and enjoyed it to pass it along to them though.
- Monsters of Verity wooden art print by Emilee Rudd
This wooden art print is gorgeous. I love the design and the quote. This particular series wasn’t my favourite, but I still rearranged my shelves a little to try and be able to display the print.
- Wintersong Goblin Grove candle by Flick the Wick
I always like candles as an item in a box. They’re nice. I haven’t read this book, but I really liked the scent and the look of the candle.
- Bella’s Lullaby Lip Scrub by Fairytale Bath Company
Lip Scrub is an incredibly practical item and I love it. I haven’t used it yet, but I’m excited to get to use it eventually.
- OwlCrate Bluetooth wireless speaker by Team OwlCrate
This item has been so useful. I’ve used it a ton since I got it. I like the sound though it’s not great for audiobooks on 2x speed. The major con is that when it’s low on battery it tells you so every thirty seconds and the first time it happened, it scared the crap out of me.
- OwlCrate socks by Team OwlCrate
These socks have a super cute design. I haven’t worn them yet, but it’s always nice to have another pair of socks kicking around.
- Ex Libris Bookplates by veresknatasia_art
These seem like they’re going to be super useful. Or at least they would if I loaned people my books. However, the design on them is really pretty. I’m a sucker for being inspired by Harry Potter.
- Monthly Enamel Pin by Fable and Black
This month’s pin was so pretty. I really liked the mirrored trees.
- Book of the Month: The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu
I’m very excited about this month’s book. I hadn’t really heard about it, but it’s historical fiction and that kind of intrigues me. I really liked the changes that OwlCrate made to the dust jacket and cover. The plot sounds interesting, so I’m looking forward to getting into it eventually.
