May is a month where I get a little bit restless because I start anticipating summer break a little bit. However, it’s still a good month for reading and there are some particularly exciting books coming out this month.
May 5th Releases
- Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
Aurora Rising was an unexpectedly delightful read for me this past year, and so I’m really excited to read the sequel. I loved all of the characters and how different they were. I really wanted more of the book and so I can’t wait to get to this one.
- The Betrothed by Kiera Cass
The Selection was one of my favourite junk food reads and I am intrigued by the idea of more books from Kiera Cass. I don’t know a whole lot about the plot of the book, but I love the idea of more from Cass. The cover looks beautiful too.
May 12th Releases
- More Than Maybe by Erin Hahn
You’d Be Mine was a really cute musically themed romance and I am sure More Than Maybe will be along those same lines. I am really intrigued by the premise and want more of Erin Hahn’s writing in my life.
May 19th Releases
- The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
I genuinely thought there would never be another Hunger Games related story released to the world, but I was horribly wrong because this book is coming out on May 19th. I know very little about what it is that it’s about and there isn’t really a whole lot on Goodreads, but I’m still so excited about it.
