Before I got really into bookstagram and tags, I never knew there was such a thing as an A to Z challenge. I think it’s actually a pretty cool thing to do. I tried to do one last year, but I wasn’t super successful so I thought I would try again this year.
Unfortunately, I didn’t complete the alphabet this year. I read quite a lot of books and one would think that I would read one from each letter of the alphabet. However, I was short two letters. That being said, it’s still quite an improvement on the year before. Without further ado, my 2019 A to Z challenge:
A – An Acceptable Time by Madeleine L’Engle
B – Binge by Tyler Oakley
C – Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth
D – Dead Queens Club by Hannah Capin
E – Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
F – Feed by M.T. Anderson
G – George by Alex Gino
H – The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan
I – In an Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire
J – Just What Kind of Mother Are You? by Paula Daly
K – King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
L – Lost Sisters by Holly Black
M – Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
N – New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
O – Only Drunks and Children Tell the Truth by Drew Hayden Taylor
P – Pain and Wastings by Carrie Mac
Q – Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare
R – Red Rising by Pierce Brown
S – Speak: Graphic Novel by Laurie Halse Anderson
T – Two Gentleman of Verona by William Shakespeare
U –
V – Veronica Mars: The Thousand Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas
W – The Woman in the Window by AJ Finn
X – Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Y – You by Carolyn Kepnes
Z –
I’m definitely going to be trying again in 2020 and I’m hoping to find more success with it. Do you have any book recommendations for those harder to find letter starters? Let me know in the comments below.
