Hello there! My name is Kari and I’m the second person behind this bookish blog you have accidentally (or not so accidentally) stumbled upon. I’m going to try to make this as concise to the point as possible to help save you and me so we can collectively get on to the fun subject: books!
I’ve always been an avid reader until my sophomore year of high school. The fifth Harry Potter book came out and I wanted to read it, but carrying other books around along with textbooks—let alone a for fun book that was the size of a textbook—wasn’t something I wanted to do. After that I fell in ban out, especially during my college years. However, anymore I keep at least 4 books going at a time because I’m one of those people, plus it’s always nice to have.
The range of books I read/own is pretty wide. I love YA books. Utopia/dystopia and sci-fi/fantasy are my big go-tos. I love reading autobiographies and memoirs of famous people. Any book on WWII or organized crime is something that will also attract me, fiction or nonfiction.
Another book I love is comics. Marvel is my one love, but I do enjoy some Batman and I wouldn’t be able to call myself a feminist (in my own humble opinion) if I didn’t like Wonder Woman. My favorite is Captain America. As much crap as he gets I also really love Hawkeye: I will defend him until my last breath. Other notable characters I enjoy are The Wasp (Nadia Pym), Mockingbird, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and the Scarlet Witch. But really, I enjoy it all. (Except Reed Richards. And Scott Summers.)
Other hobbies I enjoy are gaming, going to the movies, shopping, hanging out with my husband and our two dogs, among other random things. I also love all things cute.
